The offseason means new opportunities and in once particular case new countries for the Vaqueros players.
Fort Worth midfielder Tyler Humphrey landed a spot with German club SC Sylvia Ebersdorf.
Humphrey took a minute out of training to answer the traditional 5 big questions:
1. How did you make the connection in Germany?
"I'm lucky enough to have a friend who is very well connected through this area. Once here his connections allowed me to trial with a few different teams."
2. What is it like so far?
"It's very different from the US, but I'm slowly getting adjusted. Now I just have to learn the language."
3. How long do you plan to stay?
"The season runs until June, but I'm hoping this could turn into a career for me over here."
4. What are your thoughts on the Vaqueros season this past summer?
"I really had so much fun returning to the Vaqueros this season. We had such a talented squad and I really enjoyed playing for Coach Stavrou. I think we made a great platform to build off for next season."
5. What would you like to say to the Vaqueros supporters?
"To the Vaqueros, oh how I missed y'all. I love playing in front of y'all and I hope we played some entertaining football for y'all this season. I really hope we brought Open Cup play to Fort Worth for 2018 because y'all deserve it."
