ABOUT
The Vaqueros Academy is not your typical academy. We only have one team per age group, select the top talented players, and it’s FREE.
Players only need to purchase their uniform. Our teams practice year-round and will play in the top leagues and tournaments against the best competition in the Metroplex.
The Vaqueros Academy Player Development Philosophy is based on small sided tactical games where we stress technique, creativity, and speed of play. The essence of “street soccer” is a big part of our curriculum. The “best train with best” makes practices extremely competitive and therefore individual player development is optimized.
TEAMS
The academy opened in the summer of 2018 at our new facility Vaqueros Field at Sycamore Park under the guidance of Academy Director Mark Snell. The intention is to build our youth academy slowly by adding a new U7 team each year. Our oldest team will always be the 2011 birth year.

DONATIONS
The Vaqueros Academy is not your typical academy. We only have one team per age group, select the top talented players, and it’s completely FREE. The kids must only purchase their uniform. Our academy is providing youth in Fort Worth and surrounding communities the opportunity to play soccer at a high level, and not have to worry about high club costs.
Through an innovative partnership with the City of Fort Worth, four underutilized tennis courts built in 1915 were transformed in May 2018 to a state of the art 7v7 turf field, home to the Vaqueros Academy and Vaqueros LIGA 7 adult/coed 7v7 leagues.

Vaqueros Field at Sycamore Park is the first outdoor installation in the U.S. of the new non-infill turf developed by Pure Play Sports Turf. The turf looks and plays just like grass, is much cooler during the hot weather, and has no rubber pellets. You will immediately see the difference in ball roll.
